Nicotine Patch Too Strong
Is it safe (and still effective) to cut a nicotine patch. Job for one person can be up to ten times too weak, or too strong. Nicotine patches are not a fit-and. Chewing the gum too quickly releases too much nicotine, produces a strong and acrid flavour. Nicotine patches are not addictive.
From what little research I did it seems like there is a lot of mis-information or lack of information on the patch WRT to long term safety, doubling up patches, etc. It seems like I read that some doctors are starting to suggest you can augment the patch with other replacement therapies like gum and lozenges, but the patch itself has been enough for me.
I was on 21mg for about 10 weeks and just started step 2 (whatever that is) this week. There were a couple of times when I was wasted that I put a second patch on, but never for longer than a few hours.
I also would switch out a patch with a fresh one if I knew I was going out, but I suspect that was only effective in a psychosomatic way. This was pretty expensive. Onechanbara Bikini Zombie Slayers Ntsc Iso. It's been around six weeks since I've smoked at all, and before that it was maybe 2-3 times after I started patching that I gave in due to drinking.
I've finally started taking off the patch while I sleep. I also (temporarily) quit drinking a couple of weeks ago and that's been a big help. I smoked a pack or more a day before going on the patch. The biggest benefits so far have been an almost complete absence anxiety. I used to have a rush of anxiety when I had my first smoke in the morning and at various times through the day, especially if I was hungover. Smoke smells nasty now and when I see someone on the sidewalk or in a movie lighting up it triggers a kind of memory of the bad parts of smoking, the wheezing and morning headaches and dry skin, etc. Downsides are I still have a crazy sleep schedule and I eat everything I see.
Good luck to you, I hope it works out.
