Hi all, I have a problem (i'v ever had since Beta 1and i was hoping that this problem would have been solved with the future test build version. But.not. Girder 3.3. sigh) with the Gemsafe Libraries 4.2 on Windows Vista (now RTM).
The Gemsafe Libraries 4.2- SP3, have never worked on Windows Vista (meaning that you are unable to simpy read the certificate store on a smartcard as well to authenticate). Will it be solved??? Gemplus side or Microsoft side?? While in the RC1, RC2, Post RC2 build of Vista you was able to install them and remove (but didn't work), in RTM version, after the installation of either the default package and the SP3, at the first restart, a blue screen appears; ALSO If you try to unistall them the setup doesn't make you uninstall and tells you there is a problem with the setup/installer process. ------ This steps are for all other people like me experiencing this problem ------ What i've found to be able to restart windows without a blue screen, is to enter in safe mode, then disable the service 'Gemxxxxx server.or similar' (is the first service at the 'G' letter). Restarting windows, everything is ok (without a blue screen), THEN if you try to unistall the Libraries, the uninstall process works!!!!!!!!!!!!!
